What makes the price vary
The infill
A solid panel is the least expensive infill; a glazed infill costs more, safety glass included. The half-panel combines both: glazed above, solid below.
A sturdier frame
A front door carries reinforced profile and hardware (hinges, cylinder, handle): at equal dimensions, it costs more than a window.
VAT
When renovating a Belgian home more than ten years old, VAT is 6% instead of 21%. The gap is significant: the calculator applies 6% by default.

Exact dimensions, how true the walls are, the condition of the structure and the type of installation (renovation or new build) cannot be guessed from a screen. An on-site survey settles them.
Access to the site
The estimate does not include hiring a lift where the floor level requires one, nor a crane when a unit has to be installed at the back of the house or on a second façade. Those costs depend entirely on your situation.

What is a half-panel door?
It is a door glazed in its upper part and solid in its lower part, separated by a transom at mid-height. The upper glazing is standard double glazing: above waist height, laminated safety glass is not mandatory.
What about a design-panel door?
